5th ANNUAL ECHO-US COURSE 2024
OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course all learners will:
Understand the role of US in assessment of shock and hypotension.
Recognize the role of US in assessment of tamponade.
Recognize the role of US in assessment of pneumothorax and pleural effusion.
Recognize the role of US in assessment of aortic aneurysm and DVT.
Demonstrate appropriate technique in obtaining images and identification of structures.
Learn the basics of how to use a Philips cardiac echo machine
Learn to obtain all common cardiac echo windows
Assess chamber sizes and function
Perform a basic cardiac valvular assessment
